The future of Management - 1-12 July

From 1 to 12 July 2024, take the opportunity to discover a new country and its culture while enjoying an international environment and a delightful, dynamic and surprising city. Come and boost your career path by strengthening your skills and knowledge about the future of management.

Entrepreneurs faced huge challenges in the pandemic and post-pandemic periods. They didn’t stay passive and imagined solutions. Some innovative managers had ideas and projects that were perceived as fanciful but became concrete in this transition period.

Attend the international short Program dedicated to “The Future of Management” and learn how entrepreneurs have developed innovative solutions in terms of marketing, logistics, finance and organization to overcome the challenges and meet success.

During 35 hours of lectures, group work and field trips, you will put theories & practice into perspective. Come, learn and practice from the latest initiatives and innovations to anticipate evolutions of the managers of tomorrow. Each day includes two lessons followed by practical work and/or teamwork and assignments. Social activities: French culture workshop, Visit to Le Mont Saint Michel, Welcome & Farewell event included for all.

Summer Schools at the University of Pécs in Hungary - Leadership Skills, European Studies, International Human Rights, Debate Academy: 3 July - 1 August
From 3 July to 1 August 2024, the University of Pécs, member of the EDUC Alliance, offers the following summer schools:

    Combined European Studies and Leadership Skills program – July 3 – August 1
    International Human Rights Law and Debate Academy - July 3 – August 1

  •     European Studies Summer School – July 7-20

During the summer school, students will study the political, economic, cultural and social achievements and challenges of the European Union, as well as expand their knowledge on topics such as the art history, gastronomy and folk traditions of Europe. They will broaden their perspectives about the contributing factors that led to contemporary Europe, including migration, cultural diversity, gender issues.

Credits offered: 6 ECTS credits

  •     Leadership Skills Summer School – July 7-20

The aim of the course is for students to become familiar with the leadership skills necessary to become effective, purposeful and good leaders. The main topic areas include leadership styles, strategic thinking, effective communication, team building, time management, responsibility and assertiveness.

Credits offered: 6 ECTS credits

  •     International Human Rights Law and Debate Academy - July 3 – August 1

The summer school will address some of the most typical issues of international human rights, including the protection of human rights in armed conflicts, the accession of the EU to the European Convention on Human Rights, the right to asylum versus national security, the human rights implications of AI systems and algorithmic decision-making, etc. The debate course will provide students with introduction to argumentation theory, rhetoric, and with practical skills-building exercises in debate and public speaking.

Credits offered: 11 ECTS credits

International PhD Programme

PhD students can obtain two doctorate degrees by carrying out a joint PhD degree officialised by an international convention, known as a cotutelle, signed by the PhD student, the PhD supervisors and the partner institutions.

The University of Rennes has around 100 ongoing joint PhD degrees with partners around the world. Each year, approximately 20 PhD students defend their thesis within this cotutelle scheme.
