Lannion Campus

Lannion, the birthplace of telecommunications in France, is a technology park with some 5,000 engineers and technicians focused on innovation, and it includes a university centre with more than 1,500 students, in a remarkable natural setting. The Lannion site includes ENSSAT, one of the two engineering schools of the University of Rennes and an Institute of Technology (IUT).

Training

ENSSAT, a public engineering school dedicated to telecommunications and emerging technologies, awards four engineering degrees focused on four different specialties:

  • electronics
  • computer science
  • optronics
  • computer science, multimedia and networks (through work-study programmes)

The IUT of Lannion (Institute of Technology) provides 2-year technical diplomas (DUT) and professional degrees organised into four study programmes:

  • information-communication
  • computer science
  • physical measurements
  • networks and telecommunications

Research

Both the IUT of Lannion and ENSSAT have a dual mission of teaching and research. These two institutions host research teams linked to the research structures of the University of Rennes: IRISA, ISCR, IRMAR, FOTON, CRAPE, etc. You can find details of these research teams on the IUT and ENSSAT websites.
