Candidate Profile

International candidates must have an excellent academic level. Only applications submitted by French institutions are admissible (the applicant cannot submit his application directly to Campus France). An application submitted by more than one French institution will be rejected. Similarly, a candidate who has already been presented at Campus France during a previous edition of the programme is not eligible. Institutions pre-select the EIFFEL applications they wish to submit to Campus France for this programme. The final decision is then made by Campus France, which draws up the list of winners at national level.

Duration and amount of support

  • Master component: 12 to 36 months (monthly allowance of €1,181 and direct support for several services)
  • Doctoral strand: 18 months as part of a joint thesis or co-direction (monthly allowance of €1,700 and direct support for several benefits)
